Places started with the goal of turning something time-consuming and complicated into an experience that’s simple and fun: buying and selling a home. It’s a one-stop shop for home buyers, who can find their new place, schedule a viewing, make an offer, and manage it all through the system. Likewise, sellers get the best value for their home with top exposure through the Places marketplace, backed by professional support from the Places team. This is a very unique offering for both home buyers and sellers and each had very specific needs from the platform.
Advanced Filtering
We created a custom filtering system using a variety of targeted criteria from the Places database of homes. Buyers can now narrow in on the perfect home, using filters like: number of beds/baths, square footage, price range, neighborhood, and more.
Modern UX
Taking advantage of modern Javascript, we created a highly responsive application that provides a seamless experience for buyers and sellers alike. Now buyers and sellers can get the same experience on the application, whether at their home computer or on-the-go on their smartphone.

Why Ruby on Rails for This Project?
Our agency generally uses Ruby on Rails for web application development. This language has many benefits including cost savings for the client and time savings for project management.
